Office of the City Secretary


The City Secretary records and maintains custody of all official city documents including ordinances, resolutions, contracts, minutes and agendas of public meetings, and is responsible for records retention and safekeeping.

The City Secretary prepares City Council agendas and minutes, administers all city elections and disburses election information.

The City Secretary serves as liaison between the citizens of Stafford and the Mayor and Council members, and serves as a public information officer during emergencies.

Bonnie Baiamonte is the City Secretary for Stafford. She has lived in the city 33 years and has served in this office for 17 years. She supervises a staff of two. Ms. Baiamonte is a member of the Texas Municipal Clerks Association.

Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, except on publicized holidays.
