S-METV signed on the air in the fall of 1998 from the control room and studios of the Scarcella Science and Technology Center on the campus of Houston Community College-Southwest, Stafford. At the time, there was little more than a ”test-pattern.” Today, S-METV fulfills its main mission in making government accessible to the citizens of Stafford by televising most city government meetings “Live” and televising other programs of interest to the people of Stafford.
